Complaints and Feedback
Psychiatry on Harley Street is committed to providing high-quality care. If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, we encourage you to tell us so that we can investigate your concerns and improve our service.
You may make a complaint yourself, or someone may do so on your behalf. Where another person raises a complaint about your care, we will usually need your written consent before discussing confidential information with them.
You can raise a concern or make a complaint with any member of staff, or contact our Complaints Lead, Dr. Shumaila Asmat, using the contact details below:
Email: info@psychiatryonharleystreet.co.uk
Telephone: 020 7467 8407

Please provide as much information as possible, including your name, contact details, what happened, when it happened, and the outcome you would like.
We will acknowledge your complaint in writing within 3 working days. We aim to provide a full written response within 20 working days. If we need more time, we will explain why and tell you when you can expect a response.
Making a complaint will not affect your present or future care or treatment. We will handle your complaint confidentially and can consider reasonable adjustments or communication support where needed.
If you remain unhappy
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may ask for the matter to be considered through the Independent Doctors Federation (IDF) Complaints Resolution Procedure:
Independent Doctors Federation
Lettsom House
11 Chandos Street
London W1G 9EB
Telephone: 0203 696 4080
Email: info@idf.co.uk
Website: www.idf.co.uk/patients/patient-complaints.aspx
We normally ask that complaints are made within six months of the event, or of becoming aware of it. We may consider a complaint made later where there is a good reason for the delay and it remains possible to investigate fairly.
